About the Mission:
This veteran honorably served his country from September 1965 to September 1969, spending one tour of duty in Vietnam. He served aboard the USS John R. Pierce (DD-753), an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer, as an engineman. He attained a rank of EN3 being awarded; Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Unit Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
After his military service, he was awarded 100% service connected disability. The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him.
