About the Mission:

Seaman Recruit David R. Chandler enlisted in the US Navy on November 25th, 1968 and under a DD256N was honorable separated/discharged on January 17th,1969. This was due to a medical disability not previously known. He passed away in July and had been held in a hospital morgue until the Libby Funeral Home of Beacon, NY took possession of this man who wished to serve his country. Patriot Guard Riders has been asked to stand as his family and honor him.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

If you have bike flags, bring them. The Libby Funeral Home is scheduled to depart Beacon, NY at 9 am and should arrive at staging area by 10:30 am. We will then escort to Calverton National Cemetery for burial. Please arrive no later than the 10 am stage in case the funeral home does not have traffic problems to get to the rest area.

Second Stage - Special Information:

There is a possibility that the funeral home will make the rest area a few minutes sooner, depending on traffic, so this stage should ensure members are present at Calverton in time. Meet RC Mike at front gate.
