About the Mission:
This veteran honorably executed his duties to this country from May 31, 1951 to September 19,1953. He served aboard the USS Nightingale (AMS 50) which is a YMS-1 class minesweeper. His duties were as a Stores Keeper which was responsible for all supplies on the ship and replenishment. He attained a rank of SKG3 prior to discharge.
He then went to work for M&T Chemical, an engineering and coatings company. Upon leaving there, he went to work for Cold Spring Harbor Schools in the Custodial Department.
The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him.
