About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders has been invited by the family of US Marine Corps veteran Christopher J. Cusack to stand for and escort him home to rest with the Hero's at Calverton National Cemetery.
Christopher enlisted in the Marine Corps, just like his dad, right out of high school. After graduating with the Bayport-Blue Point High School Class of 1979, Chris proudly served his country as a United States Marine, serving deployments in Japan, the Philippines and various locations around the USA. His awards and ribbons include 2 letters of appreciation, Meritorious Mast, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal.
Chris was a real people person who always had a kind word to say to anyone. Christopher's career choice was a noble one working for the Diocese of Rockville Centre fundraising for catholic charities.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
After a dignified transfer, we will escort Christopher to his Funeral Mass on Monday, August 14th at 9:45 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snow RC Church, Blue Point. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery. Please join us and stand for Christopher and honor his service.
Please bring your own flags. We will have 3 funerals arriving at Calverton all scheduled within 30 minutes of each other. Thank you
