About the Mission:

This veteran honorably served this country from September 1970 to September 1973. He then reenlisted and served from September 1973 to September 1977 He had served aboard the USS John King (DDG-3), a Charles F. Adams-class guided missile armed destroyer, as a radio operator attaining a rank of OS 2nd class . He then served aboard the USS Fort Snelling (LSD-30), a Thomaston-class dock landing ship for his next tour and attaining the rank of OS1st class.

Then in 1998, he joined the US Air Force until 2008. He attained a rank of Colonel. During these enlistments he was awarded Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal w/1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Combat Action Ribbon, AF Organizational Excellance Award, Coast Guard Unit Commendation, Navy Good Conduct Medal w/1 Service Star, National Defense Service Medal w/1 Service Star, and Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Service Star. The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him.

Please have your flags for a dignified transfer and then escort to St Isodore RC Church next door on Pulaski St. for an 11am mass. After mass, escort will proceed to Calverton.
