About the Mission:
Eva Cassale runs 7 marathons with her team, for 7 days stopping at numerous cemeteries, VFWs, American Legions, and monuments, honoring the fallen warriors who came from Nassau and Suffolk Counties, and all wars. Patriot Guard Riders has been asked for the eighth year to stand for opening and closing ceremonies of this heartfelt endeavor. Members may go to the team website to see the routes. You may have the opportunity to cheer them on in person on parts of the route during the week. The marathons cover 184 plus miles. Eva places flowers and wreaths at the locations. https://www.goteameva.org

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Remember to bring your flags to stand for opening ceremonies at 10 am, and start of the Race at 11 am. MCs can lead off for the first mile and then depart. There will be LEO for that first mile

Second Stage - Special Information:
Bring your flags and stage in front of the café to stand a flag line for arrival of the finish of the marathon, which should arrive sometime after 4:30 pm. We will then stand for the closing ceremony at the Glen Cove Town Hall, which is also at the location. Interested members can be outside the downtown café at 3:30 pm to cheer on the runners for the last 5K loop of the Marathon ending outside the café.
