About the Mission:
Volunteers placed 6,040 wreaths with over 200 volunteers on December 16, 2023, and now we have to retire them on January 20, 2024.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Rain/shine/Snow is Saturday-Jan 20 8:30+ or earlier, so dress accordingly. Park only on one side of road like we did on Dec 16. No bathroom or Port-A-San will be available. FYI
Work gloves, long pole (to carry wreaths with a partner), carts, hand trucks. Looking for private vehicles/SUV to help carry wreaths to DSNY truck (parked inside).
If you get there early: start at the farthest end of a row and bring the wreaths to the end of that row and make a pile. At the end of each row leave the pile. Those members with SUV/open trucks can then pick up these piles (with the help of other volunteers) and bring them to the DSNY truck. It is a team effort, so TEAM (Together Everyone Achieves More)..... We are done when the grounds are left as pristine as we found them.
