About the Mission:

The USA Patriots, which are known also as the National Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team, travels the country playing able-bodied teams in competitive and exhibition softball games, bringing their unique brand of softball, courage, and inspiration to communities nationwide.  The Team has requested Patriot Guard Riders and other motorcycle groups to escort them to the Brookhaven Town Athletic Field where they will play games against other teams who do not have physical disabilities.

The team is an amazing group of Americas' finest who are able to demonstrate to everyone that anything is possible. One member, Greg Reynolds, holds the Guiness Book record for one arm pushups, with a 40 pound pack on his back, at 54 in one minute. Another member Matias Ferriera, double leg amputee, became a Police Officer. There are so many more inspiring stories of these heros. Never give up.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Please arrive as close to staging time as possible as we need to go over details of the escort and meet the team. Escort to leave 09:55am. Members in cages please respond to to the second stage for a flag line for arrival of team.
