About the Mission:

A local chapter of a National Organization, which has many locations in the United States, will be awarding Quilts of Valor to two Korean War veterans who reside at a community in Calverton. Joseph Napolitano served in the US Air Force from January 1951 to January 1956. He trained in San Antonio Texas as an airborne radio operator. He was stationed in Germany and England, He was Awarded the Good Conduct Medal and Air Wings. Richard Robinson served in the US Army from January 1954 to January 1956. He went to boot camp in Virginia and then was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas as a quartermaster. He attained the rank of Sergeant.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Meet LRC Mike at the community center to stage a flag line for the arrival of the veterans. After the flag line, we will attend the ceremony inside for the awarding of the quilts. Please bring your flags for this occasion.
