About the Mission:

VFW Riverhead Post 2476 & American Legion Post 273 asks that Patriot Guard Riders participate in the Riverhead Memorial Day Parade. Bikes & Cages are welcome. The parade steps off at 9 a.m. on Osborn Avenue/ Pulaski Street intersection and continues to the World War I monument on the corner of Court and West Main streets, where the first ceremony is held. From there, participants proceed east on Main Street to East Avenue, and then north to St. John’s Cemetery, for a wreath-laying ceremony. Services and ceremonies follow at the Civil War monument in Riverhead Cemetery and at the War Memorial Monument at the Pulaski Street School. Approximate Time: 9 AM to 10:30 PM

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
