About the Mission:

Zygmunt J. Wartski faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation in the US Army during World War II. Inducted on 17 December 1943, he was honorably discharged as T5 on 6 May 1946.  For his service as Truck Driver Heavy (931,) he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal, Philippines Liberation Ribbon and World War II Victory Medal.

Both of his sons graduated from West Point and retired as US Army officers, and his grandsons are all Commissioned Officers in the US Army.  Zigmunt was a 100% disabled WWII Veteran who dedicated much of his free time to serving veterans. He was past Post Commander for American Legion Post 123 in Bayside, NY.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Please stage at funeral home for dignified transfer and escort to church.

Be sure to bring a clean 3' x 5' US or Army Flag.
Dress for the weather - thundershowers indicated at this time.
