About the Mission:

PFC William Henry Burbige proudly served in the US Army during the VIetnam War. Bill was an avid supporter of veterans as a member of the American Legion in both New York and Florida. Bill was also active in his community as a member of the Ronkonkoma Knights of Columbus St Regis Council 4651. Bill's favorite charity was Paws of War, which provided him his beloved service dog. Prior to his retirement Bill was a foreman for IBEW local-3. Bill's family has requested the Patriot Guard to be part of his final honors.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Bill was my neighbor and friend from Holbrook. He was a proud American and his family truly appreciates our participation at his funeral.

Please assemble at the church entrance off Grundy Ave. After a dignified transfer at Maloney funeral home (5 minutes away) we will proceed to the church.

Third Stage - Special Information:

Please assemble at the main gate and await the procession from Maloney Funeral home. As of this posting a ride captain has not been identified for Calverton. Please bring your own flags in case they are not available. Another funeral will be arriving at 11:30 so this will involve back to back services.
