About the Mission:

The family of Wayne M. "Mickey" Johnson has requested the Patriot Guard Riders participation in his final military honors.  Wayne, 74, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2023.

Wayne proudly served in the US Navy as a Stores Keeper on the USS Hermitage (LSD-34), a Thomaston-class dock landing ship.  Wayne's job was to manage inventories of repair parts and general supplies that supported ships, squadrons, and shore-based activities. Wayne served from 1968 until his honorable discharge at the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class to the Naval Reserve in 1972.  For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. Prior to becoming ill, Wayne worked at Long Island Jakes 58 casino Hotel.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

After a dignified transfer of cremains, we will escort along with the Coram Fire Department, to Calverton National Cemetery.
