About the Mission:

Mr. Flaherty honorably served his country from 12/70 to 4/72 as a radio/TT operator assigned to Unit HHT 1st SQDN 1st CAV USARV. He served a tour in Vietnam and made a rank of SP4. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 60 device. After this service he went to schooling that led to working on Wall Street. The family has stated that he was very proud of his service. He was the life of the party and the family joker. The family has asked  Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor him for his service.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Family will be arriving at 8:30 am for final viewing. After a dignified transfer, escort will respond to Saint Gerard Majella Church in Port Jeff. Sta., 300 Terryville Rd. , for a 10 am mass. After mass and dignified transfer the escort will pass this veterans home on the way to Calverton Cemetery. If you have bike flags bring them. Have you have 3x5 flags bring them as well.
