US Army
Vietnam Veteran
VietnamServiceRibbons

Holbrook, NY - 03/11/2024

Mission applies to the following Region(s):

Region 8, Region 9

About the Mission:

The deceased U.S Army Veteran Jeffrey D. Del Giorno was so grateful for Patriot Guard Riders participation at his brother's funeral, that he left explicit instructions for his wife to request we stand for him when he passes.

Jeffrey served during the Vietnam War. His death was related to chemical exposure in Vietnam passing at the young age of 73 . His medals and commendations include:  Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Sharpshooter-M16 award.

He worked for Hills and Walbaums supermarkets and later drove for Towne Bus company. He considered his friends as family, and was known as the life of the party. His obituary reflects that he was a brother to 16 siblings, not because they were all blood relatives, but because he bestowed that title to his close friends as a token of his love.

Please join us in fulfilling this proud soldiers final request.
