About the Mission:
George R. Oxley, a resident of Peekskill, NY, passed away on July 10, 2024 at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare Facility in Montrose, NY, at the age of 82.
Born in Panama City, Panama, George served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He entered on August 21, 1967 and served until August 20, 1969, when he received his honorable discharge at the rank of Sergeant (E-5).
Upon discharge, George worked for many years as a correction officer and later he was a self-employed electrician, until he retired.
