About the Mission:

This veteran enlisted in the US Army at the age of 17. He served in World War II and Korea. He passed away on 4/15/1965 and due to some family issues his cremains were not picked up from Fredericks Funeral Home in Flushing. When new owners bought the home his cremains were sent to a storage facility in New Jersey. His neice, with the assist of Maloney Funeral Homes was able to locate her uncles cremains and they were returned to her in October 2023. She now wants him to have a mass and military honors and burial. He attained the rank of Sergeant, being awarded Bronze Star, Combat Infantry Badge, WWII Victory Medal, Army Occupation Medal-Japan, and Korean Service Medal w/ 3Bronze Stars. The Patriot Guard has been asked to stand and Honor this true American Hero.

Special Information:

Meet at Deli which is at corner of Panamoka Trl. and Middle Country Rd., just west of Finks Farm. We will then proceed to meet family with cremains and escort to St. John the Evangilest in Center Moriches for a 10:45 mass.
