About the Mission:

The family of Edward Allen has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation at his final military honors. Edward Allen served in the 71st infantry during the Korean war earning the rank of Master Segeant (E-7). Commendations and awards could not be determined, however it was confirmed he was an Expert Marksman M1. Prior to joining the Army Edward was a conductor on the Long Island Rail Road. Upon discharge, Edward joined the NYPD serving in the Emergency Services Bureau. He retired from the NYPD at the rank of Lieutenant.

Edward's son, Ed Jr, was a Patriot Guard Riders member here on Long Island before he and his family along with dad, relocated near Tampa Florida.
