US Air Force

Honor Mission

Dianne C. Maxwell

US Air Force
Vietnam Era Veteran

Seaford, NY - 07/19/2024

Mission applies to the following Region(s):

Region 8, Region 9

About the Mission:

Dianne C. Maxwell faithfully and honorably executed her duties to our nation in the US Air Force from the time of her enlistment on 15 October, 1964, until her honorable discharge as A2C on 17 April 1967. For her service as Disbursement Accounting Specialist (67153) with 438 Air Base Group at McGuire AFB, she was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Dianne was born in a WWII refugee camp in Germany shortly after the end of the war. Being of Ukrainian descent, her mother was a survivor of many Russian and Nazi atrocities committed against her during WWII. Her family left the camp and immigrated to the United States when Dianne was 5 years old. Due to these circumstances, Dianne was always very thankful for the freedoms and opportunities provided to them after arriving in America. Although very proud of her heritage, she considered herself a true patriot of the United States and it was for these reasons she was compelled to serve in the US Military.

Her family requests Patriot Guard Riders participation in her final honors.
