About the Mission:
This member of the "Greatest Generation" honorably served his country at a very dangerous time for our country. He was trained in radio operation and morse code, and was stationed in the Philippines during the occupation until 1946. He operated a radio signal that was heard around the world. After the surrender of Japan, there were sill fighters coming out of caves to engage in battle. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. After the war, he went on to teach mathematics at Port Jefferson High School, and achieved two masters degrees in the process. He was in the Masons and got to a level just below priest. The family wishes Patriot Guard Riders to honor this true American Hero.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

At the church we will form a line for dignified transfer into church for 11am mass. We will then escort to cemetery passing home and high school in Port Jefferson.
