About the Mission:

Anthony E. Messina faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation in the US Army from the time of his enlistment on 13 May 1980, until his honorable discharge at the rank of SP4 on 7 June 1984. He completed his Reserve obligation on 12 May 1986.  He served with Company C, 9th Engineering Battalion in Europe for nearly a year and a half, primarily as Heavy Construction Operator (62E10) and secondarily as Motor Transport Operator (64C10).

For his faithful service, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Army Service Medal, Sharpshooter M-16 Rifle, Sharpshooter Hand Grenade.  My friend Anthony was an avid motorcycle rider, gathering many people together to form friendships on the roads. Anthony's family requests Patriot Guard Riders participation on his final ride to his final honors.

Special Information:

Visitation will be ongoing from 8:30AM until 10:30AM. We will stand for the last hour of viewing before dignified transfer and escort to Calverton National Cemetery.  Many motorcycles and riders are expected to join in this mission. A safety briefing will be held before KSU.
