All Military Branches
Multi-City, NY - 12/09/2024
Mission applies to the following Region(s):
Region 7, Region 8, Region 9
About the Mission:
DHL has teamed up with Dees’ Nursery and the New York community to donate and deliver hundreds of Christmas trees and thousands of holiday letters, menorahs, decorations, and gifts to US servicemen and women serving their country abroad through the DHL Operation Holiday Cheer charitable program. The special holiday shipment will receive a send-off celebration on Monday, December 9, from Dees' Nursery and Florist in Oceanside and will be loaded onto an aircraft at the DHL gateway facility at John F. Kennedy International Airport. DHL will deliver the trees and holiday items to US servicemen and women serving their country abroad.
Local community and veterans groups, schools, and Nassau County dignitaries will help send off the shipment of holiday cheer – along with a special appearance by Santa bearing DHL gifts and performances by the American Bombshells.
A procession of local police departments and Patriot Guard Riders arrive at DHL’s JFK gateway with the shipment of trees, holiday items, and thousands of letters for U.S. troops serving overseas. The shipment will be loaded by DHL employees, VFW, military and law enforcement personnel, PGR, and members of the community.
