About the Mission:
The Guardian for Kenneth J. Mari has requested Patriot Guard Riders to participate in his military honors funeral Friday, March 07, at 12:00 pm. Kenneth served 3 years in the US Army 1st Infantry Division with 1 year 6 months in Vietnam. His MOS was (11B40) Light Weapons Infantry. He served as a 'tunnel rat' and was honorably discharged as an E5 Sgt. Kenneth was awarded these decorations: Combat Infantry Badge, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and three Overseas Bars.

Special Information:
Kenneth J. Mari has no family. His funeral service was published on a local radio program asking for Veterans to attend the service. There will be other motorcycle groups escorting Kenneth from the David T. Ferguson Funeral Home in Washingtonville. Patriot Guard Riders will stage at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery (section A1 VET) for the arrival of the cortege. The service is scheduled for 12:00 noon.
We will stand a flag line for the dignified transfer and Military Honors. The cemetery person said there will be 2 other services Friday so there may be congestion on the grounds. Police will be in attendance to assist with traffic at the entrance on Route 9.
