About the Mission:

The son of George R Hammond has requested Patriot Guard Riders to attend the grave side service at the Gethsemane Cemetery, Valley Cottage, NY. Mr Hammond Served in the US Army from July 1952 to June 1954 with 1 year and 3 months of foreign service in Korea. Mr Hammond received these medals; Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, President Unit Citation. After his military service, he served with the Clarkstown Police Department, retiring after 25 years..

There is no escort for this mission. We will stage at the cemetery for the dignified transfer and a brief Catholic service at 11:00 am. The son is working to get the American Legion to render Military Honors.
