Start time now 12:00 pm.
Mission applies to the following Region(s):
Region 4, Region 5
About the Mission:
The Saratoga National Cemetery Wreaths Across America Event Team has requested Patriot Guard Riders support for the removal of over 15,000 Holiday Wreaths that were placed during December of 2022. PGR members will meet as we have in the past, at Section 8, to complete wreath removal there. Once complete, members may move to other sections to assist volunteers as needed. It is suggested that you bring a broomstick or other type of pole to allow carrying of multiple wreaths.
For those that may have trouble walking for any distance between sections, there will be a work crew near the Visitors Center where the bows and tags will be removed from the wreaths. Those wreaths will be donated to an animal sanctuary once again this year. There is no sign-up necessary for volunteers.
You are asked to please observe all parking instructions so as not to cause any restriction of traffic on the roadways.
