About the Mission:

On Friday and Saturday, April 28 and 29, 2023, the Department of New York American Gold Star Mothers will be holding their 86th Annual Convention.  The Convention will once again take place in Lake George, and AGSM Department of New York President, Cindy Roberts, has requested that Patriot Guard Riders join them in honoring their fallen loved ones.

On April 28, we will escort the American Gold Star Mothers and their Families from the Holiday Inn, Lake George, to the Strand Theater in Hudson Falls, where members will stand a flag line during the Memorial Service.

On April 29, we will stand a flag line at the Centennial Fountain, Lake George, where a wreath placement ceremony will be conducted.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Riders will stage at the Holiday Inn and prepare for the escort of the Gold Star Mothers and Families to the Strand Theater, 210 Main Street, Hudson Falls, NY.  Memorial Service will commence at 6:00 pm.  Please ensure that you have a clean, 3 x 5 American Flag.

Second Stage - Special Information:

We will stage with a flag line for the arrival of the Gold Star Families for the  wreath laying ceremony.  We are not providing an escort to the park this year due to the fact that the families will be arriving by horse and carriage. I realize that this is the same time as honor flight, but we don't have any escorts from Region 4, so I hope to see you here.
