About the Mission:
The family of William H. Bregenzer has requested Patriot Guard Riders participaton in his military honors funeral services. William, age 84, died on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY.
Born in Troy, NY, William was a graduate of Troy High School, and later continued his education at Union College where he earned his bachelor's degree. He enlisted in the US Army during the Vietnam War, on 17 February 1964. He was trained as a General Draftsman (MOS 81A10) and served 3 years on active duty, including 14 months in Korea. He was honorably discharged on 16 February 1967 at the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and for his service was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Marksman Badge (Rifle, M-14).
William's professional life was dedicated to his work as a civil engineer with the New York State Department of Transportation in Albany, NY.

We will stage for dignified transfer, and arrival of family and friends until the 11:00 am service. After the service is over, we will escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 1pm shelter service.
