About the Mission:
The family of Walter K. Duel has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Walter, 88, passed peacefully on March 12, 2023.
Born in Granville, NY, Walter was a graduate of Granville High School and went on to proudly defend his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He enlisted on June 2, 1953 and served as a Photographers Mate, Petty Officer 3rd Class. His time included 1 year and 9 months of overseas duty assigned to the Navy Facility 100, London. He was honorably discharged on May 28, 1957, and for his service, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
After his military service, Walter worked and retired from General Electric Company as an Inspector after many dedicated years of service. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, genealogy and camping. He was one of the founding members of the Sippin Sam’s Camping Club.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests, followed by dignified transfer. Anticipated KSU 12:30 pm for Saratoga National Cemetery.
