About the Mission: | Patriot Guard Riders has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Rocky J. Gringer of Batavia, NY, who passed away on 13 June 2022. Mr. Gringer served our nation for almost 2 years on active duty in the US Army Armor Branch from 1968-1970, with an Army MOS of 13E20-Field Artillery Observation Assistant. He served for 8 months in Vietnam from May-December, 1969. Mr. Gringer's final duty station was with 3rd Squadron, 6th Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort George G. Mead, Maryland. He was honorably discharged from active duty on 20 August 1970 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; 1 Overseas Bar, and M-16 Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters. |
Special Information: | PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and guests. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 AM. Following the Mass and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to St. Joseph Cemetery, Ellicott Street, Batavia, Ny 14020 for interment with Military Honors.
