About the Mission:
The family of Robert L. Newell, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert, 72, passed on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Born in Schenectady, NY, Bob graduated in 1969 from Schalmont High School. He enlisted in the United Sates Navy Reserve on 24 February 1969 and was trained as a Fireman. He was honorably discharged on 31 August 1970 with a rating of Fireman Apprentice.
A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast from his early teens, he loved flat track racing and was a life member of Electric City Riders and the American Motorcycle Association.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the final 30 minutes of Visitation (11:00 am - 1:00 pm). A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, followed by escort to and interment with military honors at Sts. Cyril and Method, 611 Duanesburg Road, Rotterdam, NY 12307.
