About the Mission:

The family of Richard White, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Richard, 88, passed away on Sunday, December 3. 2023 at his home after a long illness.

Born in Edenton, NC, Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enlisted on 16 November 1954 and was trained as a Personnel Administration Specialist (MOS 716.10), assigned to Fort Carson, Colorado. He served until his honorable discharge at the rank of Specialist 3rd Class on 15 November 1957, and completed his inactive reserve obligation on 15 November 1962.

Upon his return home, he was employed by the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, DC, and more recently as a welder at Ciba-Geigy. Richard was a man of faith who served as a deacon at the Faith Tabernacle Baptist Church in Glens Falls. He also served on the Search Committee who helped to find a new pastor for the church. He was also a member of the Queensbury Masonic Lodge #121.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Staging at the church with a flag line during visitation hour 10:00 - 11:00 am. 11:00 am church service to follow, then escort to Southside Cemetery, Route 32, South Glens Falls, NY 12803 for interment with military honors.
