About the Mission:
The family of Richard W. Andrews has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Richard, 88, of Loudonville and Long Pond, Willsboro, New York, passed on February 28, 2025.
Born in Plattsburgh, NY, Richard graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1954. He then completed a BS in Physics at Siena College, continued on to earn a MEd of Education from Siena College and a MS of Physics from Union College. He entered active duty as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army on 15 March 1962, and was trained in field artillery. He was stationed at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and Fort Sill, Oklahoma until his honorable discharge at the rank of 1st Lieutenant on 14 March 1964.
After his military service, Richard retired from Hudson Valley Community College as a Professor of Physics and Physics Department Chair. He worked all his life as a proud member of Plattsburgh Local 910 of the IBEW, an electrical union created by his father. He was a communicant of St Pius X, a member of the Friends of Long Pond, Upstate NY Buick Club, Model A Restorers Club, Model T Ford Club, and the Keeseville Elks Lodge 2072.

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Dignified transfer will be followed by escort to St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 for a 1:00 pm Funeral Mass. A dignified transfer will be conducted at the church. Once completed, mission is ended..
