About the Mission:

The family of Richard Piurowski has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his funeral services.  Richard, 78, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Scotia, NY, Richard was a US Army veteran.  Not many details of his service are known at this time.

Richard worked as a crane operator for G.E., as well as owning various restaurants in his life and being a cook for years. Richard was a member of the American Legion in East Durham, NY.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

We will stand flag line for arrival of family and friends. We will be folding and presenting the American Flag. There is no other military ceremony.
