About the Mission:

The family of John F. Hogarty has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. John, 75, passed away in the comfort of his home on March 19, 2024.

Born in the Bronx, John entered the United States Army on 9 November 1970. He was trained as a Strategic Microwave Systems Repairman (MOS 26V220), and spent 1 year and 7 months on active duty, including over 9 months overseas. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 5, and for his service, was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Staging at the church with a flag line for dignified transfer. Members will escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 12:30 interment service.
