About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been invited to attend a Vietnam War 50th Commemoration Ceremony event hosted by Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara's Office. The event will take place at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial at the SUNY Schenectady Campus. The new Memorial was dedicated on 29 October 2021 in memory of those who served during the Vietnam War.

29 March is a fitting choice for a day honoring Vietnam Veterans. It was chosen to be observed in perpetuity as March 29, 1973 was the day United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam was disestablished and also the day the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam. In addition, on and around this same day, Hanoi released the last of its acknowledged prisoners of war.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
