About the Mission:

The organizers of the Town of Westerlo Hometown Heroes Program have once again requested Patriot Guard Riders presence at the closing ceremonies of their Hometown Heroes event. During the 2024 program, 22 new local Veterans were honored with individual banners throughout the town for a total of over 164 banners in 7 years. In addition, the committee also honored Westerlo’s First Responders with banners of their own.

The event will also include: Presentation of Colors by the Albany County Sheriff’s Explorers, Drill Team demonstration by Norwich University’s elite Regimental Shock Platoon, and Playing of Taps by Norwich University Buglers. Guest Speakers; CT-2 Anthony Falese and PO3 Richard Stark and remarks by Albany County Executive’s Office, Assemblyman Chris Tague and Sheriff Craig Apple.
