About the Mission:

Patriot Flight organizers have once again requested the participation of Patriot Guard Riders in the sendoff ceremonies and welcome home for veterans traveling to Washington DC as part of the Honor Flight Network. As we have done in the past with Patriot Flight, at "O-Darker-Thirty", PGR riders will escort the veterans from the staging point shown below to Albany International Airport, where the sendoff ceremonies will take place". We have also been asked to welcome our honored veterans back home that evening. Please see details in Stage Two of this mission posting below.

The escort and airport ceremony are open to any and all individual motorcyclist and motorcycle clubs and organizations. Please do your best to participate in this mission. It's important that we demonstrate to our veterans that they have never been forgotten.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Staging will be in the rear parking lot area. Anticipated KSU of 03:30 for riders to escort veterans to the Albany International Airport. Upon arrival, members will form a flag line inside the baggage claim area for the sendoff ceremony.  Rider parking will be in the taxi lane of the airport.

For those members staging directly at the airport, please form a flag line at the last entrance of the Baggage Claim area for the arrival of our heroes.

Second Stage - Special Information:

Staging on the second floor of the terminal with a flag line for the Welcome Home of our vets. Anticipated flight arrival is 10:45 pm.
