About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has once again been invited to participate in the Spring Leatherstocking Honor Flight send-off and welcome home event. We will provide escorts to lead our honored veterans to the Albany International Airport for the send-off of their Honor Flight, and welcome them back home the following day.

There have been several logistical changes for the Spring flight this year:

• Departure will take place on Saturday afternoon, April 29, 2023, at approximately 4:00 pm
• The return flight will arrive on Sunday afternoon, April 30, 2023, at approximately 5:00 pm
• At mission posting time, there are 12 planned veteran/guardian meet points spread across 10 counties, and 1 in Bennington, VT
• Patriot Guard Riders will provide escort from the 3 stage points listed below
• The LHF team may be making other arrangements for possible escort from other veteran/guardian meet points
  ( a listing of tentative meet points is shown at the end of this posting.  This listing is tentative only and may change without notice)

Since this is a daytime mission, riders should anticipate traffic/congestion issues and are encouraged to be especially alert.  The escorts are open to any and all individual motorcyclists, motorcycle clubs and organizations. Please review each of the four staging locations below to determine which may be best for you.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Staging with a flag line outside the North entrance of the Baggage Claim area.  Riders may park in the usual area of the taxi lane.  Cagers will be on your own in the Short Term Parking area.  Members staging directly at the airport should bring a clean, 3 x 5 American Flag.
