I
HOTH Mission
Charleston Christian Church
Veterans Appreciation Service
All Military Branches
Sprakers, NY - 11/13/2022
Mission applies to the following Region(s):
Region 4, Region 5
About the Mission:
The pastor of the Charleston Christian Church has asked Patriot Guard Riders to provide an Honor Guard for his Veteran's Appreciation Service. This will be the 6th year of our participation in this event. A flag line will be set up to receive the Veteran's entering the Community Room for refreshments. We will then reset the line to lead the Veteran's into the church as the Honor Guard. The colors of all the branches will be displayed as each anthem is played in recognition of their service.
The colors will be posted before the start of the service and retrieved at the conclusion where another flag line will be posted as the Veteran's return to the Community Room to eat. Those members attending this mission are cordially invited to dine with the Veteran's to a full Thanksgiving dinner. Any member who has attended this mission in the past will attest to the meal being a true dining experience.
I ask for enough members to please attend to assure we have a full Honor Guard complement. There will be a short prayer proceeding the meal to honor deceased PGR member Mike Clerico who was always present for this event.
