About the Mission:

The family of William D. Eades has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Eades, 78, of Albany, NY, Westminster, MA and formerly of Sun City Center, FL died on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at his home after a long-standing illness.

Born and raised in Geneva, NY, Mr. Eades was a graduate of DeSales High School, Class of 1964. He received his Bachelors Degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and his Masters Degree from Boston University. He entered the US Army during the Vietnam War, on 2 January 1969, with a specialty of Physical Therapist (MOS 3418). He served on active duty for 2 1/2 years and was honorably discharged at the rank of Captain (O-3) on 9 July 1971. For his service, he was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.

After his military service, Mr. Eades held clinical and administrative positions at several hospitals, including Geneva General Hospital, the former Leonard Hospital, Albany Memorial & St. Clare’s / Ellis Hospital. He also was an adjunct professor at Russell Sage College and retired from Ellis Hospital in 2011.

Family is gathering directly at the cemetery.  Interment with military honors scheduled for 2:30 pm. Please stage quietly and in accordance with current guidelines.
