About the Mission:

The family of Warren G. Bennett, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Warren, 77, of Albany, passed away on Wednesday August 21, 2024 at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center.

Born in Niskayuna, NY, Warren proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He enlisted on 30 June 1966, and was trained as an Engineer/Equipment Operator (Speciality 1345). He served 2 years on active duty, 4 years inactive reserves, between June of 1966 and June of 1972, including a 13 month tour of duty in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Lance Corporal (E-3), and for his service, was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Marksman Shooting Badge.

Warren was the owner of 45 Restoration Company for fifty years, which specialized in parts for the Harley Davidson 45 cubic inch solo and servi-car. Warren also played in several bands throughout his early years.

Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. There will be a funeral service conducted at 10:00 am, followed by escort to Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1363 Central Avenue, Colonie, for interment with military honors.
