About the Mission:
The family of Walter Smiley has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Walter, 78, passed away on March 11, 2025, in Albany, New York, at the Albany Stratton VA CLC (Community Living Center).
Born on May 4, 1946, in Belzoni Mississippi, Walter entered the US Army on 4 April 1966. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private.
Walter was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Chicago, Illinois on May 15, 1971. For 40 years he was a member of the Schenectady North Congregation. He will be interred along with his wife of 49 years, Dolores.
