About the Mission:
The family of Wade R. Van Beusichem has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his funeral services. Wade, 76, of Castleton, New York, passed away peacefully on July 1st in the Firefighters Home in Hudson, NY.
Born in Castleton, NY, Wade worked as a radar technician for the United States Army in San Bernadino, CA during the Vietnam War. Later he worked for Sterling Drug, Rensselaer, NY, and the CSX Railroad, Selkirk, NY. He was an active volunteer fireman for many years and in several companies, most recently in the South Schodack Volunteer Fire Department. Wade loved Dalmatians. He was an avid pool player, competing with his team in the national competition in Las Vegas. Wade loved model railroading, a passion which started in his childhood, and volunteered his electronics expertise to the model railroad layout at the Medina Railroad Museum in Medina, New York.
