About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to participate in the military honors funeral services of Thomas M. "Bruno" Catallo.  Thomas, 99, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, July 1, 2023.

Born in Waterford, NY, Thomas was drafted into the US Army at 18 years of age.  He was trained as a Cryptograph Mechanic (MOS 801), and served as a Corporal in the US Army’s Communications Corps. His 2 years overseas brought him to Central Europe, Northern France, Rhineland and Normandy.  For his service, he was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WW II Victory Medal and Lapel Pin.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal on January 1, 1946.

After the War, Mr. Catallo held several jobs including work for the NYS Canal Authority as well as running his own electrical installation & repair business. Tom completed formal training as an electrical technician and joined the IBEW from which he eventually retired.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Stage flag line for dignified transfer, then escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for an 11 am service.
