About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been requested by the family to stand in honor of the life and service of of Theodore A. "Ted" Darrow for his military honors funeral services.  Ted, 74, of Fultonville, passed away on Saturday March 11, 2023 at Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, Albany, NY following a long illness.

Born in Amsterdam, NY, Ted was a lifelong area resident and attended local schools.  He served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1969. His unit received a Presidential Citation for exemplary service in country. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal in 1969.

Ted was employed as a heavy equipment operator for several companies in the Fonda-Fultonville area, including the Cady Co. in Amsterdam.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

We will stage flag line upon arrival and prepare for dignified transfer.  Escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 12pm committal service will follow. KSU 10:30 am
