About the Mission:
The family of Ronald Barber has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Ronald, 78 passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023.
Born in Utica, New York, Ronald enlisted in the US Army on 1 December 1965. He was trained as an Aircraft Armor Repairman (MOS 45J20), and completed a tour of duty in Vietnam as a helicopter door gunner. He was released from active duty on 29 November 1968, and honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 5th Class (E-5) upon completion of his inactive reserve obligation on 30 November 1971. For his service, he was awarded the Bronze Star, Air Medal w/1st-42nd Oak Leaf Cluster, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device, 2 Overseas Service Bars, Marksman Badge (M-14) and Aircraft Crewmember Badge.
After his military service, Ron worked for General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 38 years. He was a member of the Rock City Falls Volunteer Fire Department for 40 years, serving from 1974 to 2014.

Interment with military honors scheduled for 2:00 pm. Please stage quietly and in accordance with current guidelines.
NOTE: Please consider arriving early and standing for US Army veteran Charles Wildberger at his 1:30 interment service.
