About the Mission:

The family of Robert J. Crogan has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert J. “Bob" Crogan, 79, died Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his home on Boght Road.

Born in Troy, NY, Bob was raised and educated in Watervliet and Green Island. He was a US Army veteran, serving from 1961-1964 in Germany, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 4th Class.

Upon returning home, Bob was employed by the Bendix Corporation and also drove a truck. He was a contractor and the owner of CTM Construction for over 40 years. He also in his earlier years was a bouncer and manager at various nightclubs including Otto’s and Sneaky Pete’s on the Latham Traffic Circle. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line during a brief visitation from 11:30 am - 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00, followed by escort to Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Colonie, NY 12205 for interment with military honors.
