About the Mission:
The family of Robert E. Lee has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert, age 87, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.
Born in Albany, NY, Robert enlisted in the US Navy on 16 February 1953, and was trained as a Lithographer (Specialty Number LI-3619-42). he served a total of 3 years and 8 months, with 2 years and 4 months at sea, including time aboard the USS Arcadia (AD-23), a Klondike-class Destroyer Tender. He was honorably discharged on 2 November 1956 at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. For his service, he was awarded the Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal (Europe)
Robert later enjoyed a prestigious 30-year career as a Sergeant with the Albany Police Department, Arbor Hill Division. He gave so much to his service and dedicated all efforts to being the best he could be. Robert was also a lifetime member of the Saratoga Eagles 2586, and a 43-year member of the American Legion. In his free time, Robert greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Members will stage a flag line for arrival of family and guests. Following the dignified transfer, members will escort to Memory Gardens for a 10:30 am graveside service.
