About the Mission:
The family of Robert E. Johnson has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert, 80, entered eternal life Sunday, January 21, 2024.
Born in Albany, Robert graduated from Colonie Central High School. He enlisted in the US Air Force on 9 December 1960, and was trained as a Weapons Mechanic (AFSC J46250). He served 4 years of active duty, including 2 years overseas. He was released from active duty on 8 December 1964, and honorably discharged at the rank of Airman 3rd Class after completing 2 years of inactive reserve duty on 8 December 1966. For his service, he was awarded the Air Force Longevity Service Award.
Robert later graduated from Union College with Honors, and was employed by NYS DOT, and then for many years as a Civil Engineer at the NYS Public Service Commission. He enjoyed his 1967 Corvette and 2019 Stingray, model airplanes, and his summer camp and boating on the Great Sacandaga Lake. Bob was a member of the NRA.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of the funeral cortege. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:30 am, followed by escort to Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Road, Albany, NY for interment with military honors.
