About the Mission:

The family of Robert E. Andrews, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  Robert, 77, of Fort Plain, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2024 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, NY.

Robert attended Fonda Central School until he entered the United States Army on 15 September 1966.    He was trained as a Supply Clerk (MOS 76Y20) and assigned to the Third US Army, 553 Military Police Company.  He served two years on active duty, including a tour of duty in Vietnam.  He was honorably discharged on 13 September 1968 at the rank of Specialist 4th Class and for his service, was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal 1 Overseas Service Bar and a Marksman Badge (M-14 Rifle).
